I have a dream….
I have a dream that elementary, middle school, and high school kids treat each other with respect instead of always being so critical of one another. I have a dream that when someone makes a mistake, instead of making it a laughing matter around the whole school you try to help that person. I have a dream that when there is a new student that comes to a school he/she is accepted and treated nicely no matter how different that person is.
February 12th, 2007 at 9:42 pmIf everyone did this, we would have no drama going around the school. We wouldn’t have any kids crying because they have been made fun of or left out. There wouldn’t be any kids that feel as if they have no friends and no one to talk to. The world would be a much better and happier place if we all made an effort to except people for who they are.
I have a dream that there are no groups or ranking among fellow students. I have a dream where you are not judged on what you wear or what you do for fun. If everyone made an equal effort to not make fun of other kids and not criticize day after day, our world would be a much better place. When someone falls, help them back up. Do not kick them when they are down.
If you thought to yourself before you did something or said something hurtful, “What would I think if someone did this to me?” you would hopefully stop dead in your tracts. Sometimes we don’t even realize what we are saying or doing, but to others it is very hurtful. If we all just did this one simple thing, and kept our hurtful thoughts to ourselves, everyone would be much happier.
Instead of making fun of someone after they made a mistake, help and encourage them. If you do something hurtful to someone, they will be sad. Then they will most likely do something hurtful to someone, and the chain goes on. Everyone makes mistakes, whether you are the most popular kid on campus, or the person who everyone hates. Just remember that when you are making fun of that person for making a mistake, you will soon make a mistake as well. Would you like someone to make fun of you for your mistake as you did to someone else?
I have a dream that no one would spread rumors. If we all thought about what we said before we said it, there would be much less hate in our schools. What does spreading a rumor do besides hurt the person that it is about? It will come back to you, someday, if you spread rumors. It is like a chain reaction. If we stop the chain, we can stop many kids from being hurt and heartbroken.
I have a dream that if you do not like someone, keep it to yourself. If we all did this, we would all be much happier, we would all have more friends, and we would not have so much hateful drama floating around school day after day. Just think to yourself, would this feel good if someone said this to me? Each and every kid can make a difference in their school, whether it is a positive difference, or negative difference. Choose to make a positive difference in your school!
Wouldn’t it be nice if we all lived by Colby’s wise words? How can we, as a school community, make Colby’s dream come true?

March 1st, 2007 at 1:49 amI have a dream that one day me and all other people in this world will be able to walk around and not be judged by other people. One day everyone will be judged the same and won’t have any excusses as to why someone doesn’t like them. They won’t be able to say that it is because the color of their skin is different or it’s because they don’t practice the same faith. No i dream that one day all man kind will be judged on their personality and not what they look like.
Some people never get a chance to talk or see the person they truly care about bec ause they aren’t what people would consider “acceptable”. Maybe someone has glasses. They might be looked down upon just because they have glasses. Maybe that person has always liked a popular girl but she won’t talk to him just because of what he looks likes. This is sad. It’s not fair to that person because they may be the nicest and sweetest guy in the world but might not ever be able to prove it to some people because he isn’t to their standard. It just isn’t right how people have to suffer because of their appearance.
Life also is unjust because of people making false staements about each other. I dream that everyone will be treated with dignity and respect even if they don’t treat others with that same respect. It is not right to judge someone. All you can do is be nice and kind to that person because one day that person will have to look into are Fathers eyes and he will have to explain to him why he was rude and disrespectful to others. Yes we should do what we can to do what is right and just be accepting to others personalities. If we decide to judge them then we are no better than they are.
I dream that one day we could all be at peace and no one will think of themselves as superior to others. No religion will think of themselves as the correct religion. They will think of them as the most reasonable and others as just not seeing the path yet. No one will hate any other religion and they would all accept each others ideas, right or wrong. One day everyone will be at peace
One day the world will be free of pollution. The world will finally start to care for their enviorment and they will take care of their home. I dream that one day everyone will get together and create places for homeless people and will help create jobs for the homeless. One day everyone will help each other out so that no one will have to suffer because they can’t afford something. One day we will finally change for the good.
This is all what i dream. Hopefully every one will finally see what injustice and what some people have to live with everyday and change it for the good. I hope that everyone will realize what is happening and will change their ways for the better. This is what I hope. I hope we can change, before it is too late.
I have a Dream
I have a dream that one day war would not be an issue and that the inoccent people who’s lives have been destroyed for good can finally rest in peace.
I have a dream that one day there isn’t so much hate in the world and that there can be more love. More love for our neighbors and more love for the people who’s hopes have been lost in the sadness of war.
I have a dream that one day no one is forgotten and is left helpless while there future is being wasted on the war. People in our community will encourge others to make a bigger difference allthough they say they will but, never do.
I have a dream that today someone will make a difference out of the kindness of there heart not for the sake of saying they made a change but, because they cared.

I have a dream that the political parties will put aside their differences and work together to unite our country as one. I have been listening to some of the candidate’s speeches and it is becoming clearer that our country needs to work together better. Many candidates have talked about becoming one united nation. I think this is a good idea. Whether your beliefs lead you to be a Democrat, Republican, or Independent our parties need to find a common ground to solve our countries problems. Perhaps we could be one big party so people wouldn’t argue over small things, and they would worry about problems such as bringing our troops home, making sure that everyone can afford medical care and our economy. We could keep jobs here and keep inventing new products. This is what has made our country a leader.
February 17th, 2008 at 2:56 pmI have a dream… a dream that one day we will come together as one nation and solve all our problems as one united government.
I have a dream…
I have a dream that the war will stop in Iraq and we could become friends with them. There is no point of killing thousands Iraq’s as well as our own people for just their oil. The whole country has been economically and socially devastated.
I have a dream that everyone would be nice to each other and help the poor. If we helped the poor everyone could have a roof over their head and have enough food to eat.
I have a dream that our government can be one and unite everyone together into one nation. That way we could all follow the same rules and jointly solve worldwide problems.
