When you’re little
Love means, to share
those chocolate chip cookies
or soft teddy bears

the rainbow crayons,
the edible play-doh,
the bounciest ball,
or even a tomato

Love means to share
when you’re still young
and have no idea
other than to have fun!

when you’re in middle school
and start to want more from the world
Love changes dramatically
from sharing to perfect boy/girl

you know what I’m talking about
that handsome guy
who plays the school sports
and makes girls drop like flies

or that good-looking girl
in your biology class
where you fake fail your test
so she’ll help you pass

In middle school, it’s different
from when you were young
but when it hits high school
you’ll wish you had never come!

high school is crazy
love strikes everyone
from teachers to classmates
the love just keeps spreading on

you tend to want more
as you get older
but tears and broken hearts
come with it so don’t bother

falling head over heels
for a rocking new guy
but then find out he’s cheating
and lock yourself away and cry

there will be times you will love
there will be times you will ache
but someone special is always there
don’t fear, he or she will wait

for that perfect time
when you two are alone
so fear not, young lovers
love is like a music tone

sometimes it’s off pitch
sometimes it’s just right
like love, you never know
until you’ve tried

so love is a complicated word
only use it if you must
be prepared to cry or rejoice
when your special someone does

something bad, or something great
I know you’re strong enough to take it
just don’t give up, love creates life
and that certain crush is worth it!!!

May love find itself in your life… don’t take for granted what God has given you!!!
